DIANE HULL (& LATE CHRIS HULL)

BOARD MEMBERS

Diane Hull and the late Chris Hull shared a dynamic partnership in ministering to relationships, drawing on over 38 years of marriage marked by the highs, lows, and in-betweens of life’s most precious bond. Together, they pioneered the “blended family” model, led the BOMB (Bone of My Bone) marriage ministry, and served as Relationship Consultants—facilitating classes and workshops through Eastern Star Church and their own “Marriage Making Sense” practice. As regular guests on a local call-in radio show and through Chris’s monthly newspaper column, they provided counsel to engaged couples. They advised the Ministers in Training program, while Chris also performed countless wedding ceremonies.

Chris Hull’s passing in 2024 marked the close of an era, but Diane Hull continues to operationalize their shared vision. Drawing on Chris’s legacy in IT management and diversity & inclusion, Diane sustains their relational consultancy, stewarding “Marriage Making Sense” and teaching strategic relationship frameworks. In her role as Executive Assistant, she balances administrative leadership with her passion for spiritual insight. Diane and Chris’s three adult children—Daryl, Nicholas, and Chrisney—along with six granddaughters and a great-granddaughter, remain living testaments to the principles they championed.

LATE REV. CLARENCE V. BOYD, SR.

FOUNDING CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Reverend Dr. Boyd was a visionary leader and executive in both ecclesiastical and social-service arenas, architecting sustainable faith-based communities across Oklahoma and Arkansas. As Pastor and Presiding Elder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, he operationalized strategic ministry initiatives at Vernon AME (Tulsa), Visitors Chapel AME (Hot Springs) and Bethel AME (North Little Rock), while stewarding governance frameworks as a delegate to the General Conference and trustee across multiple educational and church boards.

His academic credentials—a BA from Tulsa University, an MA in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Doctor of Divinity from Jackson Theological Seminary—underpinned a disciplined approach to spiritual formation and community development. Concurrently, Dr. Boyd broke ground as Garland County’s first Black social worker and directed the Work Incentive Program for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, scaling public-service operations and forging impactful civic partnerships with the NAACP, local school boards, and civic coalitions.

A lifelong member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, his leadership ethos was anchored by mentorship and capacity building. As patriarch of the Boyd/Lynch legacy, his strategic influence endures through his four children, their families, and the countless lives he empowered, offering a forward-thinking blueprint for generational impact.

Reverend Clarence V. Boyd, Sr., passed in October 2023.
